Led by world percussionist Nacho Arimany, the Nacho Arimany Trio is an exploration of the “New Spanish” sound. Rooted in the Mediterranean flavors of Flamenco, West Africa and South India, Arimany’s unique style engages the open forms of jazz pianist Robert Rodriguez and Michael O’Brien’s emotive bass lines in a dialogue that brings an authentic approach to today’s avant garde music.
